Custom website design for small businesses
Click and Mortar plans, designs, and builds custom websites for small businesses nationwide. We connect your service pages, inquiry forms, and booking tools so visitors can understand what you offer and take the next step. Bring a new business, an outdated website, or a site that is difficult to use.
Is this the right fit?
For business owners who need a clear service website, a more useful redesign, or a website connected to the way their team handles inquiries. Work directly with Tommy Kochavy to define what the site needs to do before choosing the design.
What we can build together
- A page plan showing your services, audience, and the action each page should support
- A responsive design with readable content, clear navigation, and accessible controls
- The inquiry, booking, or business-tool connections included in your agreed scope
- Checks of the important visitor journeys on desktop and mobile, including failure states
- An agreed handover covering accounts, content updates, hosting, and ongoing responsibilities
Three decisions before we start
Improve the current site or rebuild?
Start with the pages, content, links, and integrations you already have. Keep what works. If a page address changes, map its destination before launch and monitor search traffic afterward.
What should a visitor do?
Choose the main action: request a quote, book a conversation, or send an inquiry. That choice shapes the content, navigation, and form instead of being added at the end.
Who provides the content?
Agree who supplies or prepares the service copy, images, brand assets, and approvals. A clear content plan helps avoid a finished layout waiting on unfinished information.
How the work moves forward
- Review your current site, customers, services, and business priorities.
- Agree the pages, content responsibilities, integrations, budget, and acceptance checks.
- Review the page structure and design, then build the agreed experience.
- Test the visitor journeys, confirm account ownership, and prepare the launch and handover.
Questions before you hire us
How much does a small-business website cost?
The price depends on the pages, content work, custom design, integrations, and launch support. Use our project estimator to outline the work, then get a written proposal with the deliverables, fees, and payment schedule. The estimate is a starting point; the signed agreement sets the final scope and price.
How long does a website design or redesign take?
The schedule depends on content readiness, the number of page types, connected systems, and review time. After discovery, the proposal identifies the milestones, your input at each stage, and the target launch. A new booking integration or unfinished copy can change the schedule.
Can you redesign my existing website?
Yes. We first inspect the platform, content, hosting, domain, and integrations. We then recommend improvements or a rebuild based on the actual constraints. Useful existing pages and working connections belong in the plan; a redesign does not guarantee unchanged search rankings.
Who owns the website after handover?
The signed agreement defines ownership and licenses. Approved custom deliverables generally transfer after final payment; third-party software, fonts, media, and reusable tools retain their own licenses. We agree who controls the domain, hosting, source files, and content accounts before launch.
Can you connect forms and booking tools?
Yes, when included in the scope and supported by the chosen tools. We check the account plan, available integrations, required fields, and destination before committing to the connection. Testing should confirm where an inquiry arrives, not only that the form displays a success message.

Plan your website or redesign
Bring your current URL if you have one, a short description of your services, available brand assets, and the action visitors should take. Include any tools the site needs to connect to and your preferred launch window.
